The Fourth Road of Life: The Spiritual Realms
There is more than we can see, touch, feel or understand.
Clues: Wands, Fire, The Lion. God. The Genius.
Actions: Looking up, openness.
Location: The invisible world
Status: Still
Quest: for something more. The light.
Mundane practices: contemplation, reflection, withdrawal
Deliberate practices: Mastery of the first, second and
third roads. Patience, receptivity.
Focus: The task or person at hand
Drawbacks: Escapism, illusion, disconnection and delusion
The Trap: Forgetting that you are still human.
Traits needed: Grounding – gained from the mastery of the first three roads.
Refusal brings: Chaos, darkness and destruction
The Fourth road makes itself available only when we have
mastered the first three.
Inclusion: very few reach this far.
Comment: true spiritual development, reaching into The Inner
World in a safe and controlled fashion, can only be achieved once the other
three elements have been mastered. There are no short cuts. Spiritual growth
without balance only ever leads to disconnection from reality, difficulty in
relationships and ultimately loneliness.
