 Palmistry is a fascinating art that involves both study and research AND intuition and sensitivity.
Sometimes, simply by holding someones hand it's almost like you become part of them, yet to fully understand the lines requires much reading and investigation.
Obviously it takes a while to get to this stage, but the journey can begin today.
Palmistry is a powerful tool of prediction, diagnosis and mediumship. Professional palm readings are full of subtley, but there are rules that apply across the board.
Look upon the hand as a series of nerve endings, and see the hand as a whole, don't just look at the palm. Notice your own hand, its shape, size, and proportions. Notice the length of the various fingers and the size and angle of the thumb. Touch the hand and feel the elasticity and plumpness of the skin. Notice the number of lines on the hand and their position. Notice the nails and their shape, the humps and mounts and the strange marks all over the hand. Now compare your hand to that of someone else. It will be significantly different. The presence, frequency or absence of all of these factors is significant. Be aware of all these possibilities.
Now break them down and start to isolate different areas. What does the fleshy area under the thumb feel like? Hard and muscular - a sure sign of a dominant character, with a warning sign against temper and aggression. Soft and squidgy - deep feeling, emotional and a push over in relationships, if care is not taken.

Within this nonsense you can remember the positions and names of the key areas.
Begin with the first, index or trigger finger of your hand. This is the
Jupiter finger and the fleshy part under the finger is the Mount of Jupiter. Now count round the hand to the second finger (
Saturn), the third (
Sun) and then the little finger (
Mercury).
The fleshy area underneath the little finger is the Mount of
Mercury, the area underneath that, at the edge of the palm is the Mount of
Mars, then the flesh at the bottom corner of the palm is the Mount of the
Moon. The Mount of
Venus is the flesh under the thumb and the triangle left in the middle of palm is the Plain of
Mars.
You are then ready to begin, but never forget these two points:
The lines on the hand change over time, as the individual grows and develops.
No two hands are the same, because no two people are quite the same.
