Hi!
Welcome to my infrequent newsletter.
You
are receiving this because you have met me for a reading, chat or
attended one of my talks, lectures or workshops. At the time, you gave
me your email willingly, but if you've changed your mind, just
'unsubscribe' at the top of the page and I'll leave you to get on with
your life.
If you would like to continue then rest assured I will only send mails when there is something interesting going on.
2009 – A Year of Extremes
Expect
the unexpected, more now than ever. Numerology allows us to reduce 2009
to the master number energy 11, so this year is an opportunity for us
all to experience and learn to cope with extremes. This will manifest
across all four planes of existence:
Physical
– we had a cold winter, and we are having a hot summer. I should think
we will have a very wet time as well very soon. The US looks like it's
having very unseasonal weather in parts. The economy is down and then
there’s a sign of improvement, and then down we go again. There is no
resolution in sight on the economy I am afraid.
Mental
– new ideas and innovations are flying around, but the danger is that
many will be not very original and utterly impractical. All endeavours
now must be fixed in reality or they will come to nothing. It is
essential now to follow our interests and apply ourselves practically.
Hair brained schemes will come undone.
Emotional
– take care with your heart folks. This is a time of heightened
emotions, of love and of hate. Try to find a middle path, even if all
those around you seem to be failing in this. Pause before you act and
before you react.
Spiritual
– the heightened earth and psychic energies and the intense connections
we are making to them are likely to give sensitive souls, such as you
and me, a hard time. Breathe.
With
all aspects of life remember the saying ‘like the night, it must pass’.
Decisions need to be thought about as well as ‘felt’, in order that you
attain balance. Balance will deliver you the right decision.
Parliament – Just another Club
It
is an unwritten rule of life that if you collect more than a handful of
men together in one place they will look to form a society or a club.
They will
then instigate rules and procedures and probably introduce some fancy
dress and arcane language. It’s all about them belonging to something
and excluding others. Often they will look to exclude opinionated
individuals, children and women. You can see this in action in the UK
Houses of Parliament. It’s a boys club, run for the benefit of the
members. All the political parties are responsible for the current mess
because they are all members of the club. A few token eccentrics are
tolerated because if they don’t cause too much trouble.
The
problem with all these clubs (especially Parliament) is that their
members wind up being completely divorced from reality. To the
uninterested, football supporters are a ridiculous bunch of people.
Coloured scarves and match tickets costing nearly £100 are surely crazy
when the supporters can’t afford to tax the car or feed the family. To
the outsider this is insane, yet a whole industry has sprung up to
allow the football supporter to justify his actions. The same goes for
Parliament. All MP’s, by virtue of their membership, become utterly
removed from the real world. And until that fact changes, there will be
no change. The club – in whatever disguise it appears - seeks to
perpetuate itself, nothing else. The club stifles the only thing that
has ever created change and improvement – human ingenuity. The club
uses the facade of rules, regulations, protocols, procedures, standards
and box ticking to beat your humanity out of you. Conformity becomes
everything, new ideas are shunned and new roads abandoned. The
dominance of a club, organisation, committee, quango, society, or party
spells death and destruction for all concerned. Think that’s an
over-reaction.? Just look at what’s happened with the death of poor
Baby Peter. A club (Haringey Council) can assess its performance by
every known measure, yet no one can see what’s happening before their
very eyes. That’s what always happens when clubs rule the day. The
club, in whatever form it appears, is anti-life, anti-growth, and
anti-progress.
Look around the world. How many clubs can you spot?
Your Way Forward
When
you sometimes look around and see a world that you don’t like very
much, celebrate that realisation. We are a long way from creating
Heaven on Earth and that will only happen once we decide to make it so.
And the first step is to see the way things really are.
We
must stop expecting MP’s to save us, stop expecting Obama to save us,
and stop expecting our husband or wife to save us. They can’t do it,
even if they wanted to. Only we can save ourselves – and the secret is
that we have access to all the information we will ever need. But
first, we have to delete the noise from our mind. The TV and the radio
are sometimes entertaining and educational, but more often than not it
is simply someone else’s opinion being pumped into your consciousness.
Same goes for magazines, newspapers. Mostly opinion, rarely fact. News
takes up 1% of the airwaves, the rest made up by comment.
What
the media will never ever tell you is that you are unique. You are
wonderful and amazing and beautiful because there is no else like you.
You can use your uniqueness to make a difference in this world, by
living your life your way, without measure or comparison to others and
without approval from any other living soul. It is good enough to be
who you are. Of course, there’s always a need for development and
growth, but of a personal nature, following your interests and
enhancing your talents and skills.
Changing
the world begins with recognising the innate talents that you have and
working with them. It means following the small still voice inside,
following your heart and allowing your feelings to be your guide. It
starts with the man in the mirror. Now who said that?
That's
all for now, get in touch with any comments or suggestions for future
issues, or if you need any guidance, direction or help along your road.
Best Wishes
Richard
